The iTrials Data Universe™ represents longitudinal data on over 80 million patients, and over 500,000 physicians and healthcare providers in the United States. The U.S. Census estimates the total U.S. population as 292.3 million persons, and the medically insured population as 243.3 million persons. The iTrials Data Universe thus represents 33% of the insured population, and 27% of the total population, in the U.S.
The iTrials Data Universe consists of patient data from various sources including Claims Clearinghouses, Electronic Medical Record software vendors, Independent Physician Associations, Pharmacy Benefits Management firms, and Prescription Claims transactions, and many other healthcare data sources.
iTrials does not rely on patient self-reported data (which is often inaccurate). We do not use ‘re-purposed’ data that can frequently be corrupted along the way, nor do we gain access to data through sub-contracts or other non-direct channels that often creates data integrity or “freshness” issues. iTrials data is also unique because it is continuously acquired from multiple sources for one specific purpose: optimized patient recruitment. And because the data resides “in house,” it can be manipulated on a real-time basis to support this objective.
iTrials draws upon billions of data points gathered over many years to produce highly productive sites and pre-qualified trial participants tailored to meet the unique needs of your study.
